  9.           xwdtopnm - convert a X11 or X10 window dump file into a
  10.           portable anymap

  12.      SYNOPSIS
  13.           xwdtopnm [xwdfile]
  14.  
  15.      DESCRIPTION
  16.           Reads a X11 or X10 window dump file as input.  Produces a
  17.           portable anymap as output.  The type of the output file
  18.           depends on the input file - if it's black & white, a pbm
  19.           file is written, else if it's grayscale a pgm file, else a
  20.           ppm file.  The program tells you which type it is writing.

  22.           Using this program, you can convert anything on an X
  23.           workstation's screen into an anymap.  Just display whatever
  24.           you're interested in, do an xwd, run it through xwdtopnm,
  25.           and then use pnmcut to select the part you want.

  27.      BUGS
  28.           I haven't tested this tool with very many configurations, so
  29.           there are probably bugs.  Please let me know if you find
  30.           any.
